The Friends are working to help the library expand our world through books, information and service.

Mission Statement

The Friends of the Shasta County Libraries  promotes, supports, and enhances Shasta County Library programs and resources, and partnerships with the community.

What We Do:

We are a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the support of our free public library system.

Members receive a newsletter 4 times per year and a 10% discount at the Friends bookstore. 

The Friends were major supporters of the "New Library Now" activities which spearheaded the actual campaign for our wonderful new library building at 1100 Parkview here in Redding.

Donations come in daily and new titles are added to our shelves.
